Father/Son Camp

Paul and Ryan spent a whole weekend at Father/Son Camp at SpringHill Camp in Seymore, IN.  It was such an awesome, bonding, all-guy experience.  Ryan was beaming when he got home.  He LOVED it and LOVED being with his dad.   They did so many things and Ryan was a trooper through it all.  In fact, on the last day, the Dads get their son up on stage and say a blessing over them.  Paul just kept telling Ryan how proud he was of him because Ryan was probably the youngest and smallest boy there.   But Ryan never gave up.  he tried his hardest and gave his whole heart into everything.  That is the makings of a good man.   Here are some highlights of their weekend.....but even these don't do it justice.  We don't have any pictures from the CRUD War--huge fight where they had hosed down this field with fire hoses, thrown horse feed down and then they all had water balloons and flour.  One HUGE mess and Ryan LOVED IT ALL!

Reagan Turns 9!

Wow!  My beautiful firstborn daughter turned 9 on May 20th.   I cannot believe it.   She is growing into such a beautiful, young woman.   She is definitely one of my princesses!  She had four close friends over for a LUAU themed party.  We had pizza and ice cream cake.   Then we opened presents and headed off to the ice skating rink.   They loved it!  I, however, was cold!   They came home and watched High School Musical 3 and had a slumber party in the basement.  There was lots of giggling, screaming, giggling, and more screaming.  Fun was had by all.   On her actual birthday, she wanted to eat at Dom Pablos.  Everyone tried on the sombrero.  As she gets older, it seems harder to buy her presents.  It was much easier when all I had to do was buy something--anything--that was Disney Princess related and I was "Super Mom"!   We ended up giving her a gift certificate to go shopping with me and buy "tweenie" things for her room.   She LOVED IT!!  We had such a nice time shopping together.  She ended up with a special curtain, a shaggy, green rug, a lava lamp (Is this the 70's??) some cool round lights, and a mirror, where I often find her looking at herself.   Is this just the beginning??   We love her so much and are so privileged to be her parents.

Reese's Dedication

We dedicated Reese to the LORD on Mother's Day---well, officially anyways.   We had always given her back to God since we were blessed with her as our child almost a year ago.   We know what a treasure and responsibility she is.   So I had a doubly blessed Mother's Day.    We also had Paul's mom, Anna, come join us for the special occasion. It was quite a special time to join with our congregation and agree to raise this beautiful girl in such a way that she will grow to love and serve the Lord.
