We were so blessed and excited to go to Disney World the first week of December. Even though it was quite tiring on us all, we had a great trip. As with all things, Disney does Christmas decorating very well. We went to Mickey's Very, Merry Christmas party and LOVED IT!! We also really loved the lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios---over 5 million lights, set to music. And at Epcot, the Candlelight Processional was awesome, as we heard beautiful, holy music and the TRUE Christmas story read by guest narrator, Steven Curtis Chapman!!! Yes, Jesus is at Disney World---not just Santa!! We had beautiful weather, with the exception of a cold, rainy Friday. We just love it there. We stayed at Old Key West, in a two bedroom villa, with a full kitchen and washer/dryer---good thing too b/c I ended doing 4 loads that week, and we needed the dryer to dry out our soaked clothes from Friday. Reagan continues to love all the roller coasters and exciting rides. Ryan was tall enough to ride Expedition Everest (3 times) and they both ended up riding Mission Space with Dad. As I tend to get older, I am noticing that I get motion sickness pretty easily, so I was content walking around with Reese and Riley much of the time. We did rider swap for a few of the rides, like Aerosmith's Rockin' Roller Coaster, which is awesome! Riley was also tall enough this year to ride more rides, but is still quite scared of many of them. Her favorite part was staying at the hotel. How can we have a child that doesn't care much for Disney???? Will I just end up leaving her at home next time so I won't have to listen to the whining & crying? Nope....we'll just have to continue to force her onto rides, until she likes them. Aren't we great parents? :) She is just so worried about the unknown that she sometimes steals our joy of the moments. She did love the Tea Cups, Goofy's Barnstormer, and the Toy Story Ride. She was a little unsure of Soarin', Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain---but at least we got her on them! I have included many, many pictures. We took over 250 of them, so I feel like I included some of the best..........
Look closely, Steven Curtis Chapman is there!
Chef Mickey's is one our favorite places to eat!
Our cold, rainy, rainy, rainy day. But I am proud of us for trying to make the best of it
This Gingerbread House (store w/people inside) at the Grand Floridian was so awesome!
Love the little Mickey on the tiny door.....
Riley got a cupcake at Cinderella's dinner
Prince Charming with one of my Prince Charmings
Look who got kissed by Cinderella --a special token of affection
The Stepmother and the stepsisters were quite funny and made this one of our best dinners
Our last day at Animal Kingdom. Before our plane left that afternoon, we had just enough time to go there and let Ryan ride Expedition Everest 3 times--"TOTALLY AWESOME" were his words!
See you in 2011, when hopefully, The Wiebes will join us for some awesome fun!!
