Reagan's Ballet Recital
Sunday afternoon was Reagan's YMCA Dance recital at the Madame Walker Theater in downtown Indianapolis. She had been working hard taking classes since last November. Her class danced to the TinkerBell song and she was a water fairy--and quite beautiful, if I might add. She did a great job and daddy surprised her with flowers afterwards. (And yes, again, she was awarded a trophy! Most of you know my thoughts on that! A trophy! For what?? She didn't compete against anyone and win......Oh well, at least her self-esteem is extremely high and no matter what, we will always love her!)

Easter Sunday
We celebrated a wonderful Easter at home with an "yummy" home cooked meal of ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and cheese cake for dessert. Oh, and the kids ate lots and lots of candy! Easter is actually more of an important holiday than Christmas, since we are celebrating the resurrection of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. He defeated death and took on all the sins of the world so that we could have eternal life with Him......so why as Christians, do we tend to put so much more into Christmas?? This has been on my mind lately and I have been trying to figure out a way to put more of an emphasis on Easter Sunday next year. Any ideas? After we returned from church, the kids each got a small Easter basket with some candy and Veggie Tale videos. We then had our Easter dinner and the kids then got to hunt eggs outside. They were so excited. It was our first Easter egg hunt in Indiana since moved here three years ago. The weather was finally nice enough. After the hunt, we find the Resurrections that have been hidden with all the others and discuss their meaning and importance to the Easter story. It is such a blessed time for us all....
